LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. – A 67-year-old Corona woman was arrested for the elder abuse of an 85-year-old victim, authorities said.
On Friday, December 7, 2018, at around 2:00 p.m. deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to Owl Court in the City of Corona, regarding a report of Financial Elder abuse of the victim. Through investigation, it was learned that the elderly victim suffered the loss of around $34,000 in cash and property.
The investigation, which included review of bank records, and residences. The suspect, Michelle Kathlyn Pardes, 67, of Corona, was arrested at her home and transported to the Lake Elsinore Station. Authorities said that the financial losses were not recovered. Pardes was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on charges of Elder Abuse-Theft by a Non-Caretaker, Identity Theft and other charges.
