HIGHLAND – A 35-year-old Highland man involved in a hit-and-run remains at large late Thursday morning, officials said. At around 3:10 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016, deputies from the Highland station received a report of a traffic collision involving a power pole. The reporting party told deputies that the pole and the power lines were down and blocking the road in the 7000 block of Victoria Avenue.
It was determined that Kamal Mcelroy was the driver who hit the power pole and fled the scene. Deputies continue to look for McElroy, who authorities say caused over $50,000 in damage. Anyone with any information should contact Deputy E. Campos at (909)425-9793
