BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Kern County Sheriff’s are investigating a suspicious death after a gunshot wound victim died a week after being shot.
On June 30, 2019, at around 9:46 p.m. deputies responded to the 600 block of Belle Avenue in the City of Bakersfield. Deputies located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound. On July 6, 2019, the male victim died as a result of his injuries.
Authorities said that his death is considered suspicious. The identity of the subject will be withheld pending notification by the Coroner’s Office. If you have any information, you are urged to call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or the Secret Witness Line at 661-322-4040.
