HIGHLAND – Doritos acknowledged and offered to restock the Sheriff’s Departments Doritos after a deputy cleverly used of Doritos to lure a loose pig back to his home in the City of Highland.
On October 13, 2018, Highland Station deputies responded to the report of a pig “the size of a mini horse” loose in a neighborhood. Deputy Ponce and Berg located the pig, who they were familiar with since they had met the pig due to prior calls. Knowing where he lived, they placed a trail of Poppin Jalapeños flavored Doritos to lure him back to his home. “We were able to put him back in and secure the gate. It was fun!” Deputy Ponce.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Headquarters was surprised when Doritos acknowledged their quick thinking and said that they will be restocking their Doritos snacks for “many lunches to come”.
