HESPERIA – The San Bernardino Human Trafficking Task Force, with the assistance of Hesperia Station deputies conducted an in-call motel “John” operation to suppress prostitution. In order to do so, the efforts targeted the buyers, also known as “Johns”.
During the operation, eight male adult suspects ages from 21 to 51-years-old who reside in the County of San Bernardino were arrested. Undercovers officers were used at a local motel in the 12000 block of Main Street in the City of Hesperia to pose as prostitutes advertising services online.
“As a result, the officers were contacted and solicited for acts of prostitution by several male suspects,” Hesperia Sheriff’s officials said. “Upon their arrival at the location, the suspects were taken into custody.” All eight were interviewed and were booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Solicitation of Prostitution.
