RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – A dangerous inmate who escaped custody at the West Valley Detention Center on Thursday afternoon has been located.
Mario Tafoya, 19, was located at a San Bernardino home at around 5:30 a.m. Tafoya was located after the Specialized Enforcement Division received information about his whereabouts. Sheriff’s officials said that deputies surrounded the home and took Tafoya into custody without incident. Tafoya will now face additional charges due to his escape.
