FONTANA – A 15-year-old Fontana girl disappeared nearly 11 years ago and authorities are seeking the public’s help to locate her.
At 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2006, Diana Mazariegos who was 15 at the time told her family that she was going to school. Diana’s school was the Fontana Community School, which at the time, was located at the corner of Arrow and Juniper. It was later determined that the school was closed on that day and that Diana may have run away. Leads have been followed throughout the yards, but the investigation has hit a standstill.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are assisting the Fontana Police detectives and have completed an age progression to show what she may look like now, at 25-years-old.
Diana is a Hispanic woman with brown hair and eyes. When she went missing she was 5’1” tall and weighed 115 pounds. She had her lip pierced and may have been going by the name of Melissa.
