FONTANA, Ca. – A single gunshot wound took the life of a 46-year-old Hesperia man on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the 12000 block of Glenheather Drive in the City of Fontana and was reported at around 2:38 p.m. The reporting party told dispatchers that Daniel Duran Sr. had been shot and was in need of emergency medical care. When emergency medical personnel arrived they found Duran suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was rushed to Kaiser Foundation Hospital in the City of Fontana where he died as a result of his injuries at 3:17 p.m.
Detectives and officers from specialized units are currently conducting an ongoing investigation into this crime. Anyone with information that may assist with this investigation is encouraged to contact Detective Kirkland at (909) 356-3346.
Duran’s family have started a memorial fund in order to help provide the proper burial for their loved one.
