
SAN BERNARDINO, Ca. – A Hesperia man was arrested while visiting a female inmate housed at the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center.
On Thursday, January 9, 2020 at around 5:45 p.m., James Davey, 36, arrived at the jail for a visit. As Davey was checked in for his visit, it was learned that he was a convicted felon who had a suspended driver’s license and was out on bail for a driving under the influence and felon in possession of a firearm. Davey’s vehicle, which was in the visitor’s parking lot and was searched with his permission. During the search, deputies located marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol inside.
Davey was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for possession of a controlled substance on jail property, convicted felon on jail property, and committing a new offense while out on bail.
