HESPERIA – A 28-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested after driving under the influence with two of her small children in the vehicle.
On Wednesday, June 15, 2018, just before 4:00 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 7500 block of Arrowhead Lake Road for the report of a vehicle driving recklessly. When deputies from the Hesperia station arrived they located a silver Chevy Tahoe, that matched the description of the vehicle crashed into two small wooden posts. Shortly after locating the vehicle, deputies located the driver, Brittaney Janira Loya walking in the area with two small children.
Deputies learned that Loya was driving under the influence while her children were in the vehicle. She was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Driving Under the Influence, Driving Under the Influence with Prior Convictions, and Willful Cruelty to Child. She is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
This is Loya’s fourth Driving Under the Influence arrest since 2012. According to court records, Loya was convicted of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in 2012, 2013, and in 2014.
