SILVERWOOD LAKE – A 68-year-old Hesperia woman lost her life after the boat her and her family were in took on water causing it to sink, officials said.
Emergency personnel was dispatched to the scene on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at around 5:43 p.m. where they located the woman submerged in the water.
Maria Lara De Carmona was transported to Desert Valley Hospital, where despite efforts to resuscitate her she was pronounced dead at 4:07 a.m. Monday morning.
