HIGHLAND – The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Highland station is asking for the public’s help to identify a thief who brazenly walked up to a porch and stole a package Monday evening. The theft occurred on the 6900 block of Rockspring Lane in the City of Highland just after 6:00 p.m.
The theft was caught on home surveillance showing a White or Hispanic woman walking to the front porch of a home grabbing a package and leaving. Authorities said that the package was just left on the porch by a postal carrier minutes before the theft. The suspect fled the scene in a small, dark-colored, “Smart car” type vehicle, officials said.
Additional residents in the neighborhood reported also having packages stolen around the same time that day.
