SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – A 43-year-old San Bernardino man was shot and killed on Wednesday morning officials said.
At around 12:27 a.m. deputies responded to the 25400 block of Eureka Street for the report of gunshots heard in the area. When the deputies arrived, they found David Abitia, 43, who was unresponsive suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center and pronounced deceased a short time later.
Homicide Detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Through investigation, they learned that Abita was at a home on Eureka Street. After leaving, the resident heard gunshots and found him lying in the roadway.
