Husband Bludgeons Estranged Wife and Hangs Himself in Fontana Home

FONTANA – A man and woman were found deceased as a result of a suspected murder-suicide in Fontana after they failed to pick their child up from school.

On Thursday, June 21, 2018, at around 8:36 p.m., officers responded to the 8000 block of San Moreno Court in the City of Fontana for a welfare check. According to authorities, the husband and wife were in the in the midst of a bitter divorce. When they arrived they found a woman who was deceased downstairs. Authorities believe that her death was a result of blunt force injuries. While there, officers could hear that someone was upstairs in the home. They attempted to communicate with the person upstairs, but the person said nothing.

The Inland Valley Swat Team responded to the home at around 11:18 p.m. and found a man, learned to be the estranged husband of the deceased woman of an apparent suicide by hanging. The identity of those involved has not been released at this time.
