LAKE ELSINORE – Homicide investigators from the Lake Elsinore Station and Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit are investigating a death, officials said. Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station were dispatched to Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar to investigate the assault of a male victim. The man had a severe head injury from an assault that was reported to have occurred in the Meadowbrook community on the 27000 block of Highway 74.
The male subject’s injuries were severe and the man was not expected to survive. At 1:00 a.m. on Sunday he succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances surrounding his death and injuries sparked a Homicide investigation led by the Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Station and the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit.
The identity of the victim is undisclosed at this time pending family notification.
