Loma Linda Police Arrest Hemet Man for Having Sex with a Minor

LOMA LINDA – A 35-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for having sex with a minor who he met through a dating app, officials said. Daniel Bambo of Hemet met the female juvenile on a cellular dating application and began communicating daily through text messages. Authorities said that Bambo lied about his age, and within the last month the two set up meetings in Mentone.

Several times Bambo went to the victim’s residence and while in his truck he convinced her to have sexual intercourse and perform oral sex on him. On Thursday Bambo picked the victim up on the 25000 block of Redlands Boulevard in the City of Loma Linda and took her to his Hemet home. The two again engaged in sexual activity while at his home authorities said.

The parent of the juvenile victim in Loma Linda reported the girl as a runaway. Bambo was arrested when driving the juvenile back to Loma Linda. Deputies learned that Bambo has a disc jockey service and does work for a high school in Hemet.  He also works for various other Hemet events. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $50,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday afternoon at the San Bernardino Superior Court.
