CHINO HILLS – A 20-year-old West Covina man was arrested on Thursday for distributing child pornography officials said. Matthew Blanchard was arrested after detectives learned that he was sending and soliciting pornographic images and video of underage females. Detectives learned that Blanchard used social media accounts to request pornographic images.
On October 27,2016, detectives served a search warrant on Blanchard’s home where they seized multiple electronic devices. The photo of Blanchard is being released in since investigators believe that there may be additional victims. Blanchard was arrested 2:45 p.m. on Thursday at the University of La Verne, which is located at 1950 3rd Street in La Verne. Blanchard was released on bail on Friday, October 28, 2016, at around 8:05 p.m. There are no court dates scheduled at this time.
