CRESTLINE – The man who tragically lost his life as a result of a hang gliding accident on Wednesday has been identified as 64-year-old Larry Heidler Sr. of Corona. At around 1:37 p.m. dispatchers received a 911 call indicating there was a hang gliding accident at Glider Launch in the City of Crestline.
When paramedics arrived they located Heidler entangled in the tree. Witnesses told authorities that Heidler lost control of his hang glider causing him to strike the tree. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
