BARSTOW – A shooting severely injured one man in Barstow on Tuesday night.
At around 9:10 p.m. Barstow police and medical personnel were dispatched to the 36200 block of Ramirez Road near Old Highway 58 to the report of a fight that quickly escalated into a shooting.
A friend of the victim told dispatchers that the bullet went completely through his friend’s body and he was bleeding heavily. The victim was reported to be unresponsive and not breathing.
The suspect was described as a white man in a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The Police have set up a perimeter to search for the suspect who fled on foot toward the wash. He is reported to be armed with a shotgun and an unknown handgun.
