ADELANTO – A man was shot after attempting to make a drug-related transaction in the City of Adelanto on Monday.
At around 9:00 p.m. the victim met with a suspect known only as “Kalani” in the 11000 block of Windcrest Court to sell him some Marijuana. The two began negotiating, and Kalani became angry and pulled out a handgun. The victim ran but Kalanie fired several rounds striking him in the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for the gunshot wound to his leg.
Authorities are uncertain if Kalani is the suspects true name, but he is described as a black man in his early 30’s. He is bald with no facial hair, tall and has a thin build. There is no clothing description available, but he was last seen driving a 2000-2005 red Volvo sedan.
