MENIFEE – Authorities are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect involved in a double homicide.
On Sunday night, just before 11:00 p.m. deputies from the Perris Station responded to the 25000 block of Waldon Road regarding a call of an unknown disturbance. When deputies arrived, they found two Hispanic men who were deceased as a result of gunshot wounds.
Through investigation, Perris Station and the Central Homicide Unit determined that Jesus Sanchez Ponce, 39, of Mecca was the suspect in the case. Ponce was last seen driving a brown 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck with license plate number 8H85193. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
The names of the deceased will not be released until next of kin can be notified. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Master Investigator Alfaro from the Central Homicide Unit at 760-393-3528.
