SAN BERNARDINO – The 54-year-old Highland woman who went missing late Monday afternoon was located on Tuesday morning. Phuong Le’s family was concerned when she went missing since Le only spoke Vietnamese and she suffered from dementia. Le was last seen in an area around Peacock at around 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, just before 6:30 a.m., medical personnel learned that a woman was found lying on the ground in the 2600 block of N. Macy Street in San Bernardino. Le was transported to a local hospital, where deputies responded to in order to identify the missing woman. Shortly following her arrival at the hospital, Le was pronounced deceased. An investigation is being conducted to determine her cause of death.
