VICTORVILLE – A 29-year-old Oro Grande woman was arrested for a burglary and the possession of a large number of stolen goods believed to be from the High Desert last week.
On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at around 2:50 p.m. a Victorville station deputy attempted to make contact with the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo in the 13600 block of Cypress Avenue. The deputy believed the vehicle and suspect matched the description of a burglary call in the 15000 block of Sitting Bull Street in Victorville.
The deputy attempted the stop near Cypress Avenue and Sitting Bull Street, but the driver, later identified as Regina Dawn Allshouse, a convicted felon who was on parole continued driving. Allshouse led the deputy on a short pursuit through the area, as she violated multiple vehicle codes. Allshouse hit a curb causing her vehicle to become disabled. She got out of her vehicle and ran, forcing her way into a home in the 13600 block of Cypress Avenue. The deputy followed Allshouse into the home where she was detained without further incident.
Inside her vehicle deputies found stolen property and a subsequent search of her home led to the recovery of more apparently stolen goods. “Tools, electronics, household goods, and other types of property were among the items located,” Sheriff’s officials said in a news release. “Multiple victims from throughout the High Desert have been identified and contacted, however many more remain unidentified.” Allshouse was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Burglary, Evading a Peace Officer with disregard for safety, and Violation of parole. She is being held on $225,000 bail for the burglary and pursuit, and on a no-bail hold for the parole violation.
