Moreno Valley Man Arrested for Riverside Strong Arm Robbery

RIVERSIDE – A 33-year-old Moreno Valley man was arrested after attempting to steal from a Riverside department store on Wednesday evening. At approximately 7:40 p.m. officers responded to the 6200 block of Valley Springs Parkway for the report of a male suspect stealing store merchandise.

When confronted by employees at the store, he assaulted them and fled the location. Officers located the suspect in a nearby field, but the suspect resisted arrest at times attempting to bite one of the officers. The suspect, identified as Dwyone Jackson was safely taken into custody without further incident. He was booked into jail for robbery and battery.
