MORENO VALLEY, Calif. – A 21-year-old man was ejected from a vehicle after street racing near Perris Boulevard and San Michele Road.

On Sunday, June 30, 2019, Jack Carachure, of Moreno Valley was involved in a single-vehicle traffic collision and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital, suffering from major injuries. His two passengers were treated at the scene and taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. The City of Moreno Valley’s City-Wide camera footage review showed that Carachure was street racing with a possible white, Dodge Charger, northbound on Perris Boulevard just before the crash.

Carachure remains in the hospital and an out-of-custody illegal street racing vehicle code violation will be filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.

Anyone who may have witnessed this Street Racing activity or this collision and has not been interviewed, is encouraged to call Deputy Slover at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station at (951) 486-6800.
