SAN BERNARDINO – A motorcyclist was killed after losing control and slamming into the back of a tractor-trailer on Sunday evening. CHP officials said that the 49-year-old motorcyclist was riding a 2005 Suzuki southbound on SR-259 approaching Base Line Street.
For reasons that remain under investigation, the male motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle striking the back of the tractor trailer. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and the driver of the tractor trailer continued driving. The driver was rushed to St, Bernardine’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead as a result of the injuries sustained.
Authorities are still looking for the driver of the tractor trailer. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer McAllister with the San Bernardino CHP at (909)383-4247.
