PHELAN – A Phelan man was arrested after deputies and detectives from the Victor Valley Station located a fighting game bird operation at his home on Tuesday afternoon.
During the service of a search warrant at the home in the 11900 block of Sierra Vista Road nearly 120 fighting roosters were seized. Most were in separate cages on the property along with bird fighting implements, supplements, and bird fighting publications. Also found on the property was an illegal marijuana honey oil lab and an outdoor marijuana grow.
The investigation is being investigated by the Rural Crime Task Force, San Bernardino County Animal Control and the San Bernardino County Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET).
Michael Graciano, 53, was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $540,000.00 bail.
