APPLE VALLEY – The suspect involved in the Apple Valley Alaska USA Federal Credit Union robbery was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona.
On Friday, November 10, 2017, at around 3:30 p.m. suspect Jonathan Woodcock, 28, of Washington, Utah went into the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union in the 15900 block of Apple Valley Road in the Town of Apple Valley and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, handing him an undisclosed amount of cash. Woodcock fled the business in a vehicle, which was later seen and identified by being captured on the surveillance footage of a nearby business.
The vehicle was learned that the suspect vehicle was stolen out of Palmdale the same day. The vehicle was later recovered in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Woodcock was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona for possession of a stolen vehicle. “On December 7, 2017, detectives from the Apple Valley Station traveled to Phoenix, processed the vehicle for evidence, and interviewed Woodcock,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said. “Woodcock is currently in custody in Phoenix on unrelated charges.”
Woodcock was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision- PRCS out of Los Angeles County for evading a peace officer. The robbery case has been forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office – Victorville Division for review.
