MORENO VALLEY, Ca. – Two of the three suspects who attacked a 14 and a 15-year-old boys at a Moreno Valley Skate Park on Saturday are behind bars.
Moreno Valley Police learned of the incident on Sunday evening through social media where a video showing the violent assault was shared. Police said that the video shows three male juveniles being attacked without provocation in what appears to be a premeditated attack. Also in the video, according to the news release, several people watched without intervening.
Police reviewed the Moreno Valley City-Wide Camera System and learned that the attack occurred at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday. “The attack was captured in its entirety on the City-Wide Camera system and suspects were positively identified as two black male juveniles, both age 17, of Moreno Valley,” Police officials said. “Also identified was 35-year old Robert Lee Aaron III, of Moreno Valley.” Police said that they were also able to identify the Hispanic and White juveniles, who all are Moreno Valley residents.
A search warrant was issued and executed in the 23800 block of Elyce Court and the 2300 block of Bay Avenue in Moreno Valley. During the search multiple items believed to be related to the attack, including a firearm were taken in as evidence. Two of the suspects were arrested and the third suspect and a person of interest are outstanding. Police are continuing to look for the two remaining subjects.
Robert Aaron was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, willful child endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of minors. The 17 year-old suspect in custody was booked into Riverside County Juvenile Hall for felony assault and conspiracy.
