TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – One person is deceased and two others were seriously injured after a traffic collision on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 7:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the area of Sandy Lane and Amboy Road for the report of a major damage traffic collision. The frantic reporting party who was one of the people involved in the traffic collision said that the traffic collision involved a black pickup truck towing a black sedan that collided head on with another vehicle.

An off-duty San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy stopped and reported that one of the people involved was deceased and the other two were trapped in the vehicle. When fire officials arrived they extricated the occupants trapped inside the vehicle.

Two air ambulances responded to the scene to transport the seriously injured people. The patients were transported to Desert Regional and to Arrowhead Regional Hospital, the CHP report said.
