PALM SPRINGS – The Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) is investigating a shooting that possibly left an 18-year-old Indio man injured.

On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. Palm Springs police officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 500 block of Rosa Parks Drive. When they arrived they located a vehicle with bullet holes and blood inside. There was no occupant in or around the vehicle, but the PSPD was later advised that a local hospital was treating a patient with a gunshot wound. When officers made contact with the victim, who is suffering from non-life-threatening injuries he was uncooperative.

“It is currently unknown if this victim is connected to the shooting on Rosa Parks Drive,” Palm Spring Police officials said. “PSPD is in the early stages of this ongoing investigation.”
