PALM SPRING, Ca. – Palm Springs Police are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that left an adult male pedestrian major injuries.
On Wednesday, January 1, 2020, the Palm Springs Police Department received a 911 call regarding a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic traffic collision in the area of N. Palm Canyon Drive and W. Via Escuela. The driver(s) fled the scene of the incident. When officers arrived at the scene and found the adult male suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to the hospital.
Evidence at the scene was collected including evidence that a red 2016-2019 Mazda Miata MX-5. Based on the evidence and the injuries to the victim it is believed he was struck by more than one vehicle.
