FONTANA – A 28-year-old Fontana man was arrested for receiving child pornography images/videos through Facebook.
Investigations led to the search of the suspect’s home in the 13000 block of Seville Avenue in the City of Fontana. When authorities arrived, they made contact with Raul Solis, who was detained without incident. During the search, electronic storage devices belonging to Solis were located and collected as evidence. The preliminary forensic analysis of the devices revealed the Solis possessed, viewed, and distributed child pornography through various social media sites.
Authorities learned that Raul disguised himself on the social media sites as a female and coerced the children into taking sexually explicit images/videos of themselves to send to him. Further forensic analysis will take several days, but three of the underaged children have been identified as victims coerced by Solis.
Solis was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court on Wednesday morning.
The Fontana Police Department’s ICAC Task Force believes that many more victims will be discovered and are actively searching for those additional victims. A few of the social media sites/social applications that were used by Raul Solis consist of Facebook, Kik, Snapchat, TextMe, and WhatsApp. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Hale (909.356.7156 or Jhale@fontana.org) with the Fontana Police Department’s ICAC Task Force.
