PHELAN, Calif. – A 56-year-old Phelan woman was arrested for allegedly murdering her boyfriend.
On Wednesday, January 31, 2019, at around 7:22 p.m. deputies and emergency medical aid were dispatched to the 11500 block of Eaby Road in Phelan for the report of a 54-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound. When deputies arrived they attempted to save the victim’s life, but he was determined to be deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation leading to the arrest of Yvonne Cassady, the victim’s girlfriend.
Cassady was booked at West Valley Detention Center for Murder and is being held without bail. She is expected to be arraigned on February 4, 2019, in Victorville Superior Court. No additional information is being released at this time. Updates will be issued as new information becomes available.
