RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A 20-year-old man was arrested for throwing a hunting knife through a car window on Tuesday afternoon. At around 1:30 p.m. deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police responded to the area of Archibald Avenue and 19th Street in the City of Rancho Cucamonga for the report of road rage.
The victim called 911 reporting an erratic driver. He then confronted the occupants of the vehicle about the driving and Anthony Miano, 20, of Rancho Cucamonga, who was a passenger exited his vehicle and approached the victim with a hunting knife. The victim retreated back to his vehicle and drove toward the parking lot exit. Before leaving Miano threw the knife at the vehicle and shattered the back window. Witnesses were able to provide a good description of the suspect vehicle, which helped lead authorities to it in the intersection of Hermosa Avenue and Baseline Road.
Miano was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
