Redlands Police Provide Warmth to Homeless Woman

REDLANDS – A Redlands police officer was able to assist a homeless woman who was stranded in Redlands on Friday night. The woman was dropped off in the area and did not have proper clothing, shoes, and was unaware of any resources. Officer Chris Mead learned that the woman was staying inside of the business to avoid the harsh cold outdoors.

Authorities attempted to assist the woman by calling local shelters to place her in, but all were found to be at capacity due to the recent rush of those attempting to avoid the frigid temperatures. Before leaving, authorities were able to provide the woman with a jacket, blankets, shoes, and other necessities. The woman was also left with a list of local resources.
