RIVERSIDE – A 42-year-old Riverside man was arrested following a mail theft in the 3200 block of Mulberry Street in the City of Riverside. On Saturday morning at around 10:00 a.m. a woman confronted the suspect as he was taking mail from her mailbox. Authorities said that woman was able to get her mail back and the suspect fled the scene. When officers came to take a report of the incident, the woman was able to offer a good description of the suspect.
A short time later, the same officer responded to the report of a naked man in an alley near Lemon and Hewett Streets. The naked man was determined to be the same man involved in the earlier mail theft. The suspect, identified as Daniel Rueda was found to be on parole for burglary. The suspect was positively identified as the person involved in the mail theft and he was booked into jail for mail theft, indecent exposure, and parole violations
