RIVERSIDE – A Riverside man remains in critical condition after a single-vehicle traffic collision in the area of Brockton Avenue and Terracina Drive on Tuesday. Riverside Police and Fire personnel arrived at the location to find a 1986 Toyota Supra that had crashed into and uprooted a palm tree.
The 26-year-old driver sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital to be treated. Based on initial investigations, the driver was driving northbound on Brockton Avenue at a high rate of speed. For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with two palm trees and a utility pole.
The Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and the investigation is currently ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this collision is urged to call Traffic Detective Soria with the Riverside Police Department at 951-826-8720.
