RIALTO, Ca. – A 38-year-old Riverside man was arrested for multiple crimes committed against a Rialto woman and child.
On Saturday, April 4, 2020, Rialto police responded to the 2300 block of Brierwood Avenue in the City of Rialto. The reporting party said that she had been victimized by Maurice Gamble who allegedly committed the crimes against them over a two-day period. Gamble, who was in a dating relationship with the woman, showed up at her home and forced her into his vehicle. He drove her to a nearby Rialto location, where at gunpoint he took her cell phone. Gamble then took her back to her home on Brierwood Avenue and released her.
After releasing the victim he signed into her social media accounts and posted sexually explicit photos of the victim. In addition, he sent text messages to her 7-year-old child, threatening to kill everyone. The victim called the police. Officers arrived to conduct interviews and gather evidence, leading to a search warrant being issued for Gamble’s home in the 14000 block of Quailridge Drive in the City of Riverside. Police made contact with Gamble, who was living at the home with a woman. He was found to have the victim’s cell phone, multiple replica semi-automatic handguns, an AR-15 assault rifle and rounds of ammunition.
Gamble was previously arrested on February 12, 2020, after making threats toward Martin Luther King High School via social media. He posted bail and was released from custody. Gamble was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Threats, Kidnapping, Committing a Crime While on Bail, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, False Imprisonment. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
