SAN JACINTO – A 40-year-old San Jacinto man was arrested on Friday night for his alleged involvement in a Thursday evening carjacking authorities said. On Thursday at around 5:45 p.m. officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to Scovell Avenue and State Street for the report of a carjacking. Police were able to determine that the suspect forcibly took the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.
Through investigation, police identified the suspect as Jorge Alejandro Ojeda Jr. and on Friday night located and arrested him in the 200 block of Bonita Avenue. Ojeda Jr. was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for carjacking and violation of parole.
