YUCAIPA – The driver of a gold Honda Accord died at the scene of a single-vehicle traffic collision early Saturday morning. Just before 6:00 a.m. Yucaipa Police responded to Bryant Street and Date Avenue for the report of a suspicious vehicle off the roadway and up against a tree, Sheriff’s officials said.
Upon arrival, deputies located the late-model Honda occupied only by the deceased driver. The roadway was closed temporarily in order the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Teams (MAIT) to investigate the crash. The identity of the victim has not been released as of Saturday evening.
