WILDOMAR, Calif. – A Wildomar youth pastor was arrested in 2018 and sentenced to 5 years in prison for sexually assaulting multiple victims from 1999 to 2017, officials said.
The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station received the report of the Lewd Acts committed on the children in June 2018 by youth group pastor Malo “Victor” Monteiro, 46, of Colton. Through extensive investigation, several 14 and 15-year-old victims were identified. The investigation led to a second investigation of another youth pastor from the same church, First Baptist Church in Wildomar.
The second pastor allegedly sexually assaulted a female child in 1991 and 1992. Laverne Paul Fox, also known as Paul Fox Laverne, a 60-year-old man, was located in the State of Pennsylvania. He was extradited back to California on Monday, July 29, 2019, and subsequently booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for several felony charges related to the sexual abuse of the teens.
This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone who may have further information is encouraged to contact Investigator Klemp at (951) 245-3300.
