Stolen Fontana Dog Reunited with Family

FONTANA – A family was devastated not only to be the recent victims of vandalism and a vehicle burglary but to find that their family dog was missing on Tuesday morning.

The family called authorities just before 9:00 a.m. to report that their dog, “Dexter”, a purebred Afghan was stolen. It was unknown if the suspects were the same suspects as those involved in the vandalism and burglary. The missing dog information was broadcasted to all the on-duty officers.

At the same time, a different officer was responding to the report of a found dog nearby. The found dog was Dexter, who was reunited with his family. At this time, it is unknown how “Dexter” got to where he was found or if he was stolen by the same suspects involved in the vandalism and burglary.

Anyone with information can call the Fontana Police Department at (909) 854-8013.
