PHELAN, Calif. – Authorities located a stolen off-road vehicle by following the tracks on the ground leading to a Phelan home on Wednesday.
At around 8:55 a.m. deputies responded to the report of an off-road vehicle that was stolen from a home in the 10900 block of Del Rosa Road in Phelan. Authorities said that the suspects broke through the victim’s fence. Outside of the fence, they followed tracks on the ground which showed the the vehicle was drug behind a vehicle. The tracks were followed for around 3 miles to the 7900 block of Saratoga Road in Phelan where they located the stolen off-road vehicle.
Justin Willis, 32, of Phelan, was arrested for possession of stolen property, vehicle theft, and outstanding warrants for drug and theft-related crimes. He is being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bail.
