PALM SPRINGS – A 60-year-old Tacoma, Washington man was killed in a solo-vehicle traffic collision on Monday afternoon in the area of Highway 111, south of the 10 freeway. Randy Bergstrom was driving a 2018 Malibu southbound on Highway 111, south of Overture Drive when for reasons which remain under investigation the vehicle traveled into the center median and overturned.
The driver, who was not wearing his seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The family of Bergstrom has been notified of his death. Bergstrom was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the collision. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision. The collision remains under investigation, the CHP officials said that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
