SAN BERNARDINO – Three people, including a 9-year-old boy, are dead as a result of a San Bernardino Shooting Friday night. At around 9:17 p.m. San Bernardino Police were dispatched to Superior Liquor located at 2950 Del Rosa Avenue.
The initial report indicated that one person was down as a result of a shooting. While police were enroute they received information that there was a total of three patients, one at Superior Liquor and two near the intersection of Del Rosa Avenue and Carpenter Street.
The three victims were all males, one of which is described as a juvenile. One was reported unresponsive upon emergency personnel arrival and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two were taken to a local hospital for treatment but succumbed to their injuries, authorities said.
The suspect was described only as a 6’ to 6’2 black man in his late 20’s to early 30’s. He was last seen in a black and white stripped shirt, witnesses said. Deputies on scene located .9 mm shell casings on the southeast side of the Liquor store.
Authorities said that the three were leaving the liquor store when the gunman came up behind them and shot them. Although the motive is unknown, police believe that Mahan, a known gang member was the intended target.
