SAN BERNARDINO – Two San Bernardino women, one on parole and one on probation were arrested in connection with an identity theft. On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at around midnight a deputy from the Central station conducted a traffic stop of a new white 2016 Kia Optima near Del Rosa Avenue and the I-210 freeway.
During the stop, the officer learned that the vehicle was purchased fraudulently at All Star Kia in San Bernardino using the victim, a San Bernardino woman’s information. The victim’s identifying information is believed to be acquired by a September 24, 2016, vehicle burglary where the victim’s purse was stolen.
Also, in the possession of the driver, identified as 29-year-old Heather Dupre was a false driver’s license also with the victim’s information, but Dupre’s image on it. The bill of sale also contained the victim’s information. Dupre was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for possession of a stolen vehicle, grand theft, and for getting credit using someone else’s ID.
The investigation continued, leading deputies to 38-year-old Danielle Golden, who was learned to be involved in the crime, conspiring with Dupre by giving her the victim’s identification. She also was located, interviewed, arrested, and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Dupre is on active felony probation for Identity Theft and Golden is on active parole for Assault with a Weapon.
