YUCAIPA – Two San Bernardino women were arrested for stealing two purses from a Yucaipa school and using the credit cards inside to purchase several items at stores in Redlands and Highlands.
On August 19, 2014, the two suspects, later identified as 34-year-Old Tania Campos and 22-year-old Delaynii Stephens walked on the the Inland Leaders Charter School property located at 13456 Bryant Street. They then went into an unoccupied and unlocked classroom and took two purses that belonged to the teacher and teacher’s aide.
Through investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspects and served a search warrant at Stephen’s San Bernardino home. Both women were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for burglary and for the fraudulent use of the credit cards. They are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail and are scheduled to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court on the morning of Thursday, September 15, 2016.
Authorities believe that these two suspects may have been involved in other thefts and fraudulent use of credit cards in Yucaipa, Loma Linda and surrounding cities. Anyone with any information pertinent to the case should call the Yucaipa Police.
