Two Arrested for Possession of Illegal Drugs and Weapons

ADELANTO – Two Adelanto men were arrested following a search warrant that led to deputies finding illegal guns, drugs, ammunition and a large amount of cash, officials said. On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at around 10:35 a.m. deputies served a search warrant in the apartment home in the 18300 block of Montezuma Street in the City of Adelanto.

When searching a rifle, ammunition, illegal drugs and firearms were located. Two suspects were present at the time of the search; Arthur Ray Henderson, 39 and Victor Lewis, 40 were both arrested and transported to High Desert Detention Center.

Henderson was booked on charges of cultivation of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance while armed and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, He was later released on bail. Lewis was booked on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
