HESPERIA, Ca. – Four died after being involved in a traffic collision in the City of Hesperia late Monday night.
Authorities said that on June 1, 2020, at around 11:13 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia station and emergency medical personnel responded to Hesperia Road and Lemon Street in response to a 2-vehicle traffic collision. When they arrived they found a badly damaged blue Mitsubishi Lancer and a gray Dodge Ram 1500 truck on the west dirt shoulder on Hesperia Road.
All four occupants from the Dodge were pronounced deceased at the scene, three of the four had been ejected. Of the four, one female adult, one female juvenile, and a male adult were found on the dirt shoulder of the road. A female juvenile was found deceased inside the truck. The deceased were identified as Crystal Jewel Harris, 26, of Hesperia, and Kahlil Malik Hooks, 26,of Victorville, and two 16-year-old females; one from Apple Valley and the other from Fontana.
The investigation revealed that the Dodge truck was traveling northbound on Hesperia Road when for reasons under investigation the truck crossed over into the southbound lane and collided head-on with the Mitsubishi. The driver of the Mitsubishi was seriously injured and in critical condition but is expected to survive.
The collision remains under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy J. Bray from the Hesperia Station.
